Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships
From 1 April 2003 Police Authorities became responsible authorities under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 joining with the police service, local councils, fire and health authorities. The role of responsible authorities within each district council area is to work together to develop, publish and implement a strategy for reducing crime and disorder.
