Serious Acquisitive Crime
2009/10
- Reduce serious acquisitive crime rate by 3% (PSA 23)
- Attain target of SAC brought to justice (Sanction detection rate 16%. with 20% for rape offences)
- Attain sanction detection rate for crimes flagged as ‘hate crimes' 45%)
2010/11
- Review the effectiveness of our strategies to further impact on serious acquisitive crime
Criminal Justice
2009/10
- Introduce and develop the infrastructure and processes for the Streamlined Process and roll it outthrough the Magistrates Courts.
- Develop the additional pre-court disposals including conditional cautions and restorative justice.
- Develop community justice through liaison with LCJB
- Implement the standards of the Witness Charter
- Through the DIP project continue to support the Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland
- Continue to support MAPPOM
- Benchmark number of convictions recorded against prolific and other priority offenders (joint agency target)
- Work with OCJR and YOS to implement a simple, lean and efficient High Risk Young Offender (HRYO) programme
- Complete Custody Suites upgrades in line with the national "Safer Detention Guidelines"
- Working with partners to build upon the implementation of CJSSS and to obtain the maximum business benefits with a focus on victims and witnesses.
2010/11
- Review the business benefits of NSPIS case and Custody whether it achieves the objective of simple, lean and efficient systems
- Work towards implementing a fully electronic (digitised) Criminal Justice prosecution process
- Achieve and embed a streamline Criminal Justice where offenders are brought to justice more effectively, proportionally and efficiently and where the time spent by staff on unnecessary bureaucracy is minimised
2011/12
- Embed a new or develop an existing case and custody system
- Embed a fully electronic (digitised) prosecution system
Tackling Violence
2009/10
- Continue to work with partners to support the specialist domestic violence court
- Implement and embed Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACS) for victims at the highest risk of domestic violence
- Achieve a 3% reduction in assault with less serious injury.
