Police Authority Consultation - Melton Mowbray
Residents in Melton are being given a chance discuss local policing priorities with senior police officers and Police Authority members.
A public consultation meeting is being held at The Samworth Centre, Leicester Street in Melton on Tuesday 11th February 2009 at 7.30pm.
The meeting will give people living and working in the Melton area a chance to speak to officers about policing in the town and rural areas. It is an opportunity for residents to tell senior officers what they would like to see from the police and for the police to tell residents what they're doing to fight crime.
Inspector Nigel Peters, Commander of Melton Local Policing Unit, will be there. He said; "Everyone is welcome to come along on the 11th to discuss concerns or issues they may have about crime and policing in their area. We want to hear from local people so that we can tell them what we are doing in their neighbourhood and address their concerns. It is also a chance for residents to help shape the future priorities in Melton"
Byron Rhodes from the Police Authority and Chief Superintendent Daimon Tilley North Area Commander will also be there to hear your views and we would encourage as many people as possible to come along."
If you would like to have your say please come along to The Samworth Centre, Leicester Street, in Melton on Tuesday 11th February 2009 at 7.30pm.
