Financing the Future
In December 2010, the Government announced its planned reductions in funding for the police service. The Police Authority is challenged with setting a budget that includes significant savings while maintaining an effective police service. This comes at a time when reforms for police governance are being introduced.
This webpage aims to keep you informed of what we have done and are planning to do to deliver the necessary savings.

Public Opinion of Increasing Police Funding Contribution of Council Tax 2012/13
Leicestershire Police's Service Improvement Unit was commissioned by Chief Officers to obtain the opinion of the general public as to which of the various proposals for the council tax contributions for the police funding they would consider appropriate. -
